Special Visitors for Diwali

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Lily and Oshin’s parents to our morning assembly to share with us the significance of Diwali. They told us the story behind the festival, including the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and his victory over the demon king Ravana. We learned how Diwali is celebrated with the lighting of lamps, fireworks, delicious sweets, and spending time with family. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about this important cultural celebration and the values of light, hope, and togetherness that it represents.
