Our Strong Links with St John’s Church

At St. John the Baptist VA School, we are proud of our close and meaningful partnership with St John’s Church and Reverend Simon Piercy. This connection enriches our school community and provides our pupils with opportunities to take part in special celebrations throughout the year.

Church Services Throughout the Year

We celebrate a number of important services at St John’s Church, including:

• Harvest

• Remembrance

• Christmas

• Easter

• End-of-year service

These services are an important part of our school calendar and help our pupils develop a sense of reflection, gratitude and community.

Reverend Simon’s Role in School

Rev. Simon is a familiar and welcome face in school. He works closely with our older pupils to help them plan, prepare and lead many of these services. This includes much-loved events such as our Christingle Service, where pupils take an active role in understanding and sharing the significance of these traditions. Our strong partnership with St John’s Church helps us nurture our pupils’ spiritual development and strengthens the sense of belonging within our school and wider community.
